Chiropractor Peter Raether D.C.
I was raised in a chiropractic lifestyle since my father has been a chiropractor for over 50 years. You might say it’s in my blood. After receiving my degree in Statistics from U. W. Green Bay, I just knew that I couldn’t work in that field the rest of my life. My desire to work with people and improve their health drew me back to chiropractic.
I have seen time and time again how chiropractic improves my patients’ quality of life. My father always made sure that his patients received the best care possible which is how I have modeled my practice. The chiropractic education was surprisingly more extensive than becoming a medical doctor.
Developing an Educational Foundation
During my years at Logan College of Chiropractic, I was a teaching assistant in the Gross Anatomy Lab and the rehabilitation program, working with the pain and pregnancy patients. I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in August of 2000 and went into practice immediately there after.
Using a Whole Person Approach
In my practice, I use the whole person approach. We look not only at subluxations, but also at anything that causes interference to your nervous system. Nutrition and emotional aspects must also be addressed. Dr. Raether demonstrates the Impulse technique on a patient.
By using state of the art adjusting tools and hands on chiropractic techniques, coupled with physiotherapy, active rehabilitation exercises and nutritional supplements, I see many patients accelerate and maintain their journey to good health. Patient care starts by listening to you, the patient. The patients that get the best results are the ones who listen and follow recommended treatment plans. Patients are encouraged to take an active role in their recovery back to good health. Your care plan is created with your lifestyle in mind.
Maintaining an Active Level of Wellness as a Family
I met my wife, Cassie, through a mutual acquaintance in 2001 and we married the very next year. Our journey together for the last ten years has been busy and exciting. We enjoy traveling, music and most especially, spending time with our four wonderful children, Carly, Jack, Claire and Ella, ranging in age from 1 to 8 years old. Our children have never been vaccinated. (If that sounds interesting, be sure to ask Dr. Raether to explain!)
I believe that modeling a healthy lifestyle is one of the most important things I can do for my patients. In my free time I enjoy biking and working out. I have found that the age old statement, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”, to be especially true of a healthy lifestyle. My family and I receive regular adjustments, eat whole, organic foods, take good quality supplements and live an active lifestyle.
I hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenge. You will find my office has a down to earth and family atmosphere in which you will feel welcome.
